Properly Trained
Personnel are encouraged to expand their knowledge and develop capabilities beyond the minimum requirements of the position.
Stonewall Security is an Oklahoma City-based security and investigations company founded by Matt and Julia Daniel on June 3, 2021 — established to provide individuals, businesses, and organizations with dependable protection, carefully planned security solutions, and greater peace of mind.
From armed and unarmed security personnel to private investigations, security patrols, executive protection, physical security evaluations, and intelligence services, Stonewall Security approaches every assignment with professionalism, preparation, and close attention to detail.
We believe effective security should do more than respond after something goes wrong. It should identify risks, prevent avoidable incidents, reduce uncertainty, and help people feel confident in the environments where they live, work, operate, and conduct business.
That belief shapes how we evaluate every situation, how we prepare our personnel, and how we recommend services — so the protection you receive is the protection the situation actually calls for.
Stonewall Security was founded by husband-and-wife team Matt and Julia Daniel after recognizing the need for a security company that placed equal importance on protecting its clients and developing its personnel.
Building the company required commitment, sacrifice, and patience. Matt obtained financial assistance from a family member to help get the business started and spent much of Stonewall Security's first year working without regular compensation. Instead of focusing on immediate personal profit, he concentrated on establishing the company's reputation, serving clients, developing professional relationships, and proving that Stonewall could be trusted with serious responsibilities.
Like many new security companies, Stonewall encountered the challenge of learning a competitive and complex contracting environment. Developing accurate proposals, understanding the bidding process, pricing services responsibly, and competing against established providers required persistence and adaptability.
Those early challenges helped shape the company Stonewall Security is today. They reinforced the importance of preparation, operational discipline, clear communication, competitive value, and following through on every commitment.
Matt Daniel brings approximately 10 years of professional security experience to his leadership of Stonewall Security. His background includes training and professional development in protective services, emergency response, threat preparedness, crisis intervention, and executive protection.
This combination of field experience and continuing education influences how Stonewall Security prepares its personnel and serves its clients. The company does not believe that carrying equipment, wearing a uniform, or maintaining a visible presence is enough.
Security professionals must also be able to communicate, assess rapidly changing situations, recognize behavioral warning signs, manage conflict, document incidents, and respond proportionately.
Stonewall Security places particular importance on de-escalation and crisis-intervention training.
Security personnel regularly encounter people who are frightened, angry, confused, emotionally distressed, intoxicated, or experiencing a behavioral or psychiatric emergency. These situations require more than physical capability. They require patience, awareness, communication, restraint, and sound professional judgment.
Whenever circumstances permit, Stonewall personnel are expected to reduce tension, establish control through communication, and resolve situations without introducing unnecessary force or conflict — protecting the client, the public, the security professional, and the organization being represented.
Stonewall Security takes pride in the culture it is building for its employees. We understand that security personnel perform better when they are properly trained, treated with respect, given clear expectations, and supported by leadership.
